Action > Intention

01Jun10

One thing I never want to be said of me when I die is this:

“Well, Jake lived his life with good intentions. His heart was always in the right place but he never quite got the ball rolling.”

What a horrible legacy to leave on this world.

Think about this…

WHAT IF JESUS ONLY HAD THE INTENTION TO DIE FOR OUR SINS?

Seriously…think about it. What if His INTENTION to die on a cross for us never equated into ACTION?

Scary, huh?

We wouldn’t have the opportunity to spend eternity with our creator if Jesus had never acted on God’s intention for His life.

In the same way, God doesn’t want us down here talking about all the great things we are going to do and telling people all these stories and then never making any of it happen.

Jesus didn’t die on the cross for us to sit and be lazy. We have a responsibility.

Therefore GO and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

-Matthew 28:19

The Lord’s desire for our lives is to give Him glory. You can’t do that by sitting around waiting for an opportunity to present itself. Go and make it happen.

God honors your ACTION not your INTENTION.
